Terence F. Young (Freddie)

Freddie is primarily interested in civil litigation, constitutional law and
administrative law, with a focus on employment and labour issues.

Freddie earned his JD from the University of Alberta in 2025. During
law school, he worked as a research assistant for several professors
and a casebook editor for the Faculty of Law. He also served as
the VP Academic of the University of Alberta Runnymede Society
Students’ Chapter, where he especially enjoyed attending the
Law and Freedom Conference at the University of Toronto. Freddie
earned his undergraduate degree from UBC in 2019, during which
time he conducted original field research in the Nuer and Medumba
languages of South Sudan and Cameroon, respectively.

Freddie has appeared at the BC Provincial Court, Supreme Court
chambers, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. He looks
forward to participating in all levels of the judiciary in British Columbia.
For fun, Freddie loves walking, talking, playing golf and squash,
cooking, eating, and travelling.
