Genevieve’s practice encompasses all areas of workplace law, including workers’ compensation, privacy, and administrative law. She joined Harris & Company as an associate in 2026 after completing her articles with the Provincial Health Services Authority.
During her articles, Genevieve acted as counsel before the BC Mental Health Review Board, prepared written submissions to administrative tribunals, and participated in mediations and arbitrations. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in navigating complex statutory and regulatory frameworks, and a practical understanding of effective dispute resolution.
Genevieve earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria, where she also summered with the Provincial Health Services Authority, as well as WorkSafeBC as a Review Officer. During law school, she worked as a Research Assistant for an internationally distinguished professor, and volunteered with the BCSPCA’s Science and Policy Administration. Because of her love of animals, Genevieve also led charitable initiatives for animal rescue organizations on Vancouver Island as Co-President of the University of Victoria Faculty of Law Animal Justice Club.
Prior to attending law school, Genevieve worked extensively with clients in academic and healthcare settings, gaining a risk-informed and diligent approach to client concerns. Empowering clients to make well-considered decisions with confidence and clarity is what fuels Genevieve’s practice and dedication to her work.
