Harris is pleased to announce that Jaime Hoopes has joined our labour and employment practice.
Jaime began working at Harris as a summer student and was called to the BC bar on May 18, 2016 after he completed his articles with the firm. Jaime received his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. While at law school he was active in numerous legal organizations including serving as Director of the Legal Services Society and volunteering with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and the UBC Law Innocence Project. Jaime is a recipient of the Hugh Ladner Memorial Prize in Labour Relations, which is given on the recommendation of the University’s Law Faculty to a student who demonstrates excellence in labour relations.
In his time at Harris, Jaime has established himself as a fast learner with a passion for our law practice. Welcome Jaime!
British Columbia is observing a Day of Mourning today in response to the heartbreaking events in Tumbler Ridge earlier this week and we invite our community to honour the lives lost and stand alongside everyone affected.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims, the students and staff at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, the first responders, and the broader Tumbler Ridge community.
Resources, guidance for supporting conversations with children, a donation link, and a public condolence book can be found at gov.bc.ca/TumblerRidge.
