BC Government To Amend Labour Relations Code

The BC government has indicated that it intends to introduce and pass legislation to amend the Labour Relations Code during the current session. It has been reported that the amendments will include controversial employer free speech provisions. The government has confirmed that it will not amend the replacement worker provisions of the Code. Submissions on the Ministry of Labour’s Discussion Paper were invited from stakeholder groups and the public as part of the Labour Relations Review process.
