WCB to hold Public Hearings on Second Hand Smoke

The Workers’ Compensation Board will hold new public hearings on second hand smoke in the workplace. Part of the new regulations were struck down by the courts in March on the basis that the clause in issue had not been subjected to the public hearing process. The result of the new hearings may be that the original regulation prohibiting smoking in all work places will be reinstituted in the future.
