Harris & Humber Form Strategic Partnership

Harris and Humber Centre for Employee Benefits (“HCEB”), which has been setting the standard as Canada’s most advanced pension and benefits educator for over 40 years, have formed a strategic partnership to bring a wide variety of pension and benefit professional development courses to British Columbians.

The initial courses offer training and skills development in four distinct areas: Pension Plan Administration; Pension and Health & Welfare Trustee Development; First Nation Pension Plan Governance; and Capital Accumulation Plans.

The Harris/Humber training will be multi-day professional development courses developed by Humber and taught by experienced industry professionals. The HCEB courses, which will now be available in British Columbia, are designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and understanding of actuaries, lawyers, bankers, brokers, trustees, consultants, business managers, regulators and employees who are directly or indirectly involved in the design, regulation, administration or governance of pension and health & welfare plans in Canada. These courses can also satisfy the continuing education requirements for many professional associations.

The current HCEB courses available in British Columbia are as follows:
