Arbitrator Don Munroe has ruled that the legislative change clause of the provincial teacher agreement (Article A.8) does not apply to section 4 of the Education Services Collective Agreement Act. Section 4 of the Act ensures that all teachers in each amalgamated school district come under one local agreement and voids the remaining local agreement or agreements. The BC Public School Employers’ Association was represented by Harris & Company counsel.
