Many are surprised by the scope of our practice – there is virtually no limit to the variety of legal issues and situations that arise from day-to-day in the area of labour and employment law.
We represent private and public sector employers in all aspects of human resources and administrative law. Our advocacy in this area takes many forms, as we represent employers in complex labour negotiations, strategic business initiatives, arbitrations and other administrative hearings and at all levels of the courts – including employment-related actions and appeals, applications for judicial review of administrative tribunal decisions and Charter litigation.
The practice provides us with a unique opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with our clients and their businesses. As a summer or articling student at Harris & Company, you'll be exposed to the wide variety of our clients operating in areas such as forestry, mining, aviation, transportation, education, health, high technology, retail, manufacturing, film and entertainment, as well as societies and organizations operating in the not-for-profit sector.
