A partner at Harris & Company, Vince received a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Toronto in 1984 and his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1988. After being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1990, he worked as an associate and as a partner at a management-side labour and employment law boutique firm in Toronto where he advised private and public sector clients on all aspects of labour relations and employment law. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1998 and joined the labour law group at a Vancouver law firm as an associate. He later became a partner at that firm. In 2003, he joined Harris & Company.
Vince practices in the area of management-side labour and employment law, workers' compensation and human rights. He appears frequently before the Labour Relations Board, labour arbitrators, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Workers' Compensation Board. He has acted as chief spokesperson and advisor for employers in first contract and renewal collective agreement situations involving a broad range of public and private sector trade unions. Vince is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, B.C. Branch (Labour and Employment, Human Rights Subsections) and a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Branch (Labour and Employment, Workers' Compensation Subsections). He is a regular speaker at conferences on labour relations, human rights and workers' compensation issues.
