An associate of Harris & Company, Scott received a B.A. (Honours) in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 1998. Scott's Honours thesis focussed on the relationship between the Workers' Compensation Board and employers in B.C. He received his law degree from University of British Columbia in 2002. Scott was a Project Manager and Estimator for a demolition company in Vancouver from 1996 to 2002. He started an asbestos removal company to work in conjunction with the demolition company. Both ventures were successful and provided him with invaluable experiences.
Scott's interests lie mainly in the areas of labour, employment and workers' compensation law. Scott is also a member of the First Nations Employment Law group and provides legal advice and policy development for a number of First Nation employers in British Columbia and to Self Governing First Nations in the Yukon. He started with Harris & Company as an articling student in 2002 and joined us as an associate in May 2003. Scott is called to the bar in both BC and the Yukon.
Scott is an avid rugby fan and player and was Vice President and Captain of the UBC Law Rugby Team.
