Rhonda received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Lethbridge in 1993. In 1995, she received her Masters of Science in Business Administration specializing in Industrial Relations Management from the University of British Columbia.

After receiving her Masters' degree, Rhonda worked as a labour relations advisor in the health care industry and for two large Crown corporations.

In 2005, Rhonda graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan Law School. She subsequently clerked at the British Columbia Supreme Court, following which she articled with a downtown Vancouver law firm.

Rhonda joined Harris & Company as an associate lawyer in September 2007.
