A founding partner of Harris & Company, Peter received a B.Comm. and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1978. Peter was a partner for several years with Campney & Murphy.

Peter practises primarily in the areas of labour and school law. He represents clients in a number of industries including health care, grain, foods, broadcasting, and education (including colleges and school boards). Peter has negotiated collective agreements on behalf of numerous clients. A presenter of many seminars and workshops on legal issues, Peter has conducted training workshops from the supervisory level to higher levels of management. He is the author of papers on related topics and has written extensively on attendance and honesty issues.

Peter is a member of the Labour Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association.
