A partner with the firm, Paul restricts his practice to employment law and business immigration.

Paul obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Francis Xavier University in 1992 and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1995.

As employment counsel, Paul advises clients on all aspects of the employment relationship, including drafting contracts and workplace policies, managing employee performance, providing strategic advice on employee terminations and, where necessary, conducting dismissal litigation. He has significant experience in preparing executive employment contracts and in the enforcement of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.

In addition, Paul is an experienced business immigration lawyer and works with Canadian and foreign clients to ensure their immigration policies comply with Canadian immigration law and regulations. He assists clients in relocating foreign workers to Canada and is familiar with applications for temporary work permits, permanent residency applications and the process for obtaining Canadian citizenship.

Outside the firm, Paul is actively involved with the Canadian Bar Association, having served on the national executive of the CBA Labour and Employment Law Section and is a past Chair of the British Columbia Employment Law Section. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of North Shore Neighbourhood House.

Away from the office, Paul tries to stop the odd puck as a beer league goalie.
