A partner at Harris & Company since 2002, Naz has extensive experience in employment, administrative, human rights, and civil litigation. He frequently attends court in actions for wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, judicial review, and applications for injunctions, as well as tribunals in matters involving employment standards and human rights. He has experience with matters involving shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, and corporate oppression, and has represented clients at all levels of the judicial system. In addition to his role as counsel, Naz provides strategic advice to clients on a wide range of business initiatives involving employment-related issues, including the sale or acquisition of a business, employment contracts and policies, and workforce structure. Naz has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the areas of Labour and Employment law by the Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He has authored many papers and is a regular speaker at conferences on employment and labour-related issues. Outside the firm, Naz served two terms as Chair of the Vancouver Multicultural Society and was a member of the Conciliation and Arbitration Board of British Columbia for the Ismaili community. He received his Bachelor’s degree (BComm) from UBC in 1987, graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1992, and was called to the Bar in 1993.
