A partner at Harris & Company, Kirsten received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 1994, and her law degree from the University of British Columbia in 1998. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in September of 1999, and joined Harris & Company in April of 2001, after practising general civil litigation with another Vancouver firm.

Kirsten's practice is focused on employment law matters, including wrongful dismissal. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, and has acted as counsel at a variety of administrative tribunals. Kirsten provides advice to private and public sector employers on a wide range of employment issues, including discipline, dismissal, human rights, disability claims and workers' compensation issues. Kirsten is also a member of our Aboriginal Employment Law Group and acts as counsel for a number of First Nations and aboriginal agencies. She speaks regularly at seminars, including those focussing on aboriginal employment law.

Kirsten is the co-author of An Employer's Guide to Dismissal, a resource for managers and human resources personnel involved in employee dismissals.
