A partner of Harris & Company, Geoff attends court as counsel in actions for wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, judicial review, and applications for injunctions. Geoff has also appeared on appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. As well, he represents employers in arbitration and human rights hearings, labour relations board proceedings and before other administrative tribunals.

In addition to his counsel work, Geoff provides opinions and advice on a wide range of labour and employment law issues for both private and public sector clients.

Geoff has presented many papers and training sessions on labour and employment law matters, and has been a guest on radio programs discussing labour and employment issues. He is also the author of the book, An Employer's Guide to Dismissal, a valuable resource for managers and human resources personnel involved in employee dismissals. In addition, Geoff is a member of the Human Resources Management Association of British Columbia and the Employment and Labour Law Subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.

Geoff received a B.A. (Honours) in Political Studies from Queen's University in 1988, an M.Sc. in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the London School of Economics in 1989, and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1992. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1993. He has been practising labour and employment law with Harris & Company since 1993.
