For the fourth year, Harris & Company is participating in the Festival of Trees being held in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver. This year Harris & Company’s tree received the Media Choice Award. Members of the public can vote for their favourite tree by stopping by the Four Seasons and making a minimum donation of $5.00. All proceeds from the Festival of Trees benefit BC Children’s Hospital. The Festival of Trees continues at the Four Seasons until January 2, 2006.

Harris & Company is pleased to announce that we raised over $25,000.00 in our 2006 United Way Campaign which earned us an Employee Gold Award and surpassed our 2006 fundraising goal. The firm also received an award for “10 Years of Excellence”, for its continuing commitment to the community through the United Way. The Harris & Company United Way Campaign Committee showed great devotion to making this year’s campaign a success.

On Saturday, November 4, 2006, amidst torrential downpours and flooded streets, Team Harris successfully completed the Haney to Harrison 100 km relay race, which raised funds for local food banks. The race, which attracted over 300 teams, involves teams of runners completing a 100 km course from Haney to Harrison Hot Springs. The Harris & Company team of Mercedes Bourgaize, Naz Mitha, Keith Murray, Jen Wiegele, Alka Kundi, Kacey Krenn and Ryan Anderson finished in under 9 hours, good for 18th place out of 36 corporate teams.
